International High Level Energy Conference “Energy Transition by 2050: A multifaceted Challenge for Europe"
The key issue is the EU transition towards a low carbon economy and the contribution of the energy sector to that goal – with a specific focus on the EU Energy Roadmap 2050, necessary EU strategy and policy measures for the decarbonisation of the energy sector, as well as successive steps in the agenda. The conference will discuss: core energy resources for the transition, necessary infrastructures and breakthrough technologies, needed levels of governances, contribution from the private sector.

The European Technology Platform on Renewable Heating and Cooling and Euroheat & Power, the international association representing the district heating and cooling sector in Europe are joining forces and organising the 2012 Conference on Renewable Heating and Cooling which will take place in Copenhagen on 26 – 27 April 2012.
